A Fast Change.

Autumn came fast. Leaves turned colors up and down the streets i walk down day in and day out. Chillier breezes started picking up. Menus became more cozy. Days became shorter. And now all of the sudden it's seemingly winter. It starts getting dark at 4:30. All i want to eat is soup. All i want to do is curl up under a huge blanket. All i can think about is how soon christmas will rush to greet us all. It's become the time of year where everyone starts getting pensive, thinking about the year that's gone by. Where did autumn go so fast? It seemed like it just got here. I'm not ready for winter yet.

Life Is Snowy.

I like being in a place where it is absolutely necessary to wear a parka that is rated to -40 degrees. Vermont is a winter wonderland, rolling hills abundantly covered in snow and trees that audibly creak in the gusty winds. A place where you have to actively seek out the company of others, and where you find yourself amidst the aisles of a general store. Within arms reach you can stock up on delicious beer, plaid flannel in every color imaginable, hammers & super glue, board games, and every variety of cookie imaginable, charging your findings to the family account; a place where people still trust other people because most likely you know everyone in town. Life is in the details.
