Lately.

My flat lately has been quiet, and in my two flatmate's absence i accidentally filled it up with lots of flowers. I realized all too late that i bought a few bunches and then was leaving for Cornwall for the next ten days, and somehow, i'm hoping some will last that long. I won't hold my breath though.

Homegrown Flowers.

The only thing better than getting flowers from the Sunday Market is having flowers fresh picked from a garden. My lovely friend Hianta has a little allotment and this weekend she harvested her Dahlias which we arranged on her windowsill in the evening.

Bouquets.

It's always funny in a house the little things that make all the difference. For me flowers are key. I was sent on a flower buying mission for work, and got to pretend for just a second that the budget i was given was for me. Walking down the street with a massive bouquet of flowers amused me, wondering what the passersby were thinking they had come from. Purples, blues and pinks bursting from brown paper waiting to be arranged and placed in corners and on tables.

A wonderful thing.

The wonderful thing about buying peonies at this time of the year and asking specifically for them to be tightly closed, is one morning, a day or two after you get them, the flowers surprise you by opening up and saying hello.

Look Stylish While Getting Shot.

If you're a spy, or a thug, or a high profile executive, or just an every day person who is afraid of getting shot, you should purchase this. You'll have to get the placement just right or else it won't be very effective. I wish you the best of luck.
